(They didn’t unpack the lid. Or my other piece. I was disappointed. But it looked nice on a pedestal. But whoever installed that show dropped the ball).
I was a mini-teapot making machine last night.
Only took about 5 hours, nbd.
This mug and this teapot (just the teapot, legs broke off two of the cups when I got them out of the kiln and legs broke off the other two while being juried) made it into my university’s undergrad juried show this year.
(Not gonna lie, I feel a little honored, there were a lot fewer works selected this year. Although mostly I just feel confused or like they must have made a mistake)
Got these guys out of the kiln today.
Like my other ones, except made from a low fire stoneware. I have been working on trying to get my firings and clay bodies right so that I can actually end up with an unbroken, unwarped finished set for my BFA show in May. Let’s hope these guys make it.
